Why Eugene homeowners struggle to find a good handyman
The honest truth about the handyman trade in Eugene: most of the good people are booked out for months, most of the quick-to-respond ones won't show up, and the ones who do show up often rush jobs or charge minimums designed for full-day work.
HomeShield Pro was built to solve that. We treat small repairs with the same respect as big ones. We show up when we say we will. We give honest estimates, not inflated ones. And when we make a mistake — because everyone does — we come back and fix it without an argument.
Because we're local and family-operated, every technician on our team is trained the same way, backs every job personally, and answers for it. The person who comes out this week is the person who'll come out next time.

Frequently asked
What's a typical handyman visit cost?+
Most visits land between $150–$350. The flat hourly rate is $95/hr with no truck fees and no minimums. We give an honest time estimate before we start so there are no surprises.
Can you handle multiple small jobs in one visit?+
That's what we do best. Most customers save us a morning's worth of work in one visit. If we can't get to everything, we'll rank the list by priority before we start.
Do you do electrical work?+
We handle basic fixture swaps (light fixtures, ceiling fans, dimmer switches). New circuits, panel work, or anything requiring permits goes to our licensed electrician partners — but we coordinate the whole thing for you.
Do you do plumbing?+
Minor plumbing: leaky faucets, running toilets, disposal swaps, shutoff valves, minor drain clears. Bigger jobs (water heaters, repiping, slab leaks) go to plumbing partners; we can coordinate.
Do you provide materials or do I need to buy them?+
Both options work. For small stuff (caulk, screws, patch compound), we bring it. For specific items (paint color, light fixtures, hardware styles), most customers want to pick them. We'll tell you what's needed before the visit.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?+
Yes — Oregon-licensed handyman service, bonded, and carrying $1,000,000 in liability coverage. Workers' compensation carried on every technician.
What if I'm not happy with the work?+
We come back and fix it at no charge. Simple as that. Our reputation in Eugene depends on people telling their neighbors to call us — we don't cut corners.
How is this different from just hiring any handyman?+
Three things: (1) licensed and insured, so you're protected; (2) background-checked techs with photo IDs; (3) you get the same person every visit with a membership, so they know your house.
